Why should I choose Rick's Expert Tree Service?

Customer satisfaction is our goal! Before accepting to do a job, we make sure our customer is clearly explained what will be done and how it will be done.

Our employees are professional and highly qualified tree care workers led by a certified arborist. We follow the standards set through American National Standards ANSI 300. Our employees are members of the International Society of Arboriculture, and the Tree Care Industry Association along with experience to insure you and your trees receive the most up to date tree health care in a safe manor.

Can I get proof that your company is insured?

Absolutely! Tree service is specialty insurance, and is not covered in landscaping or general contractor insurance. Call the office and the secretary will take the appropriate information for the insurance company to fax, mail, or email a certificate of insurance. We also keep an updated copy of our workman compensation and business liability at the townships in Bucks County that require a contractor license. To verify, call your township.

Do I need a permit to take my tree down?

Possibly. It depends on your township and where your tree is located. If your tree is located in between the curb and sidewalk you may need a permit. If you are clearing a large area you may need approval from your township. Call the office and the secretary will be able to assist you more. All permits are kept on file at the office.

Do I have to put a deposit down?

No payment is necessary until the work is complete.

Do you take credit cards?

Yes! We accept all major credit cards.

Do I receive a discount for keeping the wood?

If the tree is medium to large, a discount will apply, and the wood will be cut into firewood size logs and left close to where the tree was cut for the customer to split for firewood. If the wood is hard wood that our company can recycle for firewood, it may be more efficient to pick up the wood with the log truck then cut it, so no discount will apply.

If I decide after the wood is left, can you come take it away for the discount price?

No. A log truck normally picks up the logs, and once they are cut into firewood size logs it creates more work and takes more time to load the logs. Sometimes the wood turns out to be more than customers can handle, and in that case a simple cardboard sign saying ”FREE FIREWOOD” should allow the customer to have the wood removed fairly quickly and for free.

What do I do with the grindings from the stump?

The stump grindings can be used as mulch and put in flowerbeds or around other trees, but you have to let them settle before spreading them.

Or just shovel them out into trash barrels and put them out for yard pick. Most yard clean up trash trucks will not pick up yard clean up in Home Depot or Lowes yard bags, but they will pick them up in a can with no bag. Be sure not to make the can too heavy for the trash man to lift.

Grindings can also be removed with the removal of the tree for a small fee.

How do I know the quality of your work?

Call the office! The secretary will give you reference of prior customers in your area so you are able to drive by and evaluate the quality of our work for yourself.

If I decide to go ahead with the work, how fast can your company come out and do the work?

We stay right on top of all the work that comes, so our customers are served right away.
